Day 9 (Nov. 17) How will Israel ever build the Temple on Mount Zion?
I asked my Rabbi friend this same question, and he answered with a story, “My great grandfather would gather all the children in his community in Poland for Passover each year. He would tell them stories of the Land of Israel, and he would inspire them to believe that one day God would bring all the Jews back to their Holy Land. The men of the town became aggravated at the man and told him to stop filling the children’s minds with ideas that would never happen. He never stopped believing that God would fulfill His promises to the Jews of returning back to the Promised Land of Israel.”
After the story, the Rabbi said to me, “Don’t tell me God cannot build His Temple. We have been in the Land for 75 years now!”
Treasure follows suffering for God’s people. The great characters in the Bible all suffered, but they received abundant rewards after suffering.
On our trip to Israel, we saw the suffering the Jews are experiencing right now because of the barbaric actions of Hamas upon innocent men, women and children on Oct 7. I believe we will see great treasures from God rain down like manna upon the nation of Israel after this terrible time of suffering. It’s difficult to see these things happen, but I am believing God will:
1. Eradicate Hamas completely worldwide.
2. Allow Gaza refugees to be resettled in Muslim countries and re-establish Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip.
3. Dissolve the Palestinian Authority and ensure Israel has complete sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.
4. Open Zion (Temple Mount) to all religions to pray and worship. Leave the Al-Aqsa Mosque (the only Mosque on Temple Mount) for all Muslims to worship. Everything north of the Al-Aqsa Mosque is given to the Jews to build the Temple and turn into a House of Prayer for all Nations (Isaiah 56).
Mark 10: (ESV) Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”
